New documents from the Archivio di Stato di Verona

Last weekend the weather was bad, so I spent some time looking for records of the nineteenth century from the Archivio di Stato di Verona, recently made available at https://www.beniculturali.it/ .

It was nice to find two new records for the collection, which includes:

Marriage certificate of Romolo Maron and Rosa Lucco on 19 February 1889, in Minerbe VR. The document also certifies that Rosa Lucco was born in Bevilacqua, just as Romolo did, ending with a family myth that Rosa had been born in Venice. This information, obviously mistaken, is even stated on her death certificate.

Birth certificate of Emilia Maron, born on 20 June 1894, eldest daughter of Romolo and Rosa, who emigrated to Brazil in 1895.

The documents are visible in the pages of Romolo and Emilia respectively.
